Born in 2014, VeloCity Tours and Rentals was founded to provide an economical and environmentally friendly way to explore the many sights of Waukesha. Following in the footsteps of the Waukesha Bicycle Alliance, VeloCity encourages the use of bicycles to explore our earth in the more intimate venue of human-propelled two and three-wheel vehicles.
Future goals include providing pedal-powered vehicles for those with different needs, such as tandems and tri-wheelers. Bicycle repair classes, bicycling instruction, and safe city riding are part of our extended vision. By providing a green way to tour our city, VeloCity hopes to promote a healthy Waukesha
As part of our commitment to a beautiful, interesting, and healthy Waukesha, VeloCity will be donating 15% of all profits for Waukesha spring restoration projects. One of the first on our list is the Sotarian Spring, located on the Hartwell Plaza Apartment's property. This spring is still active and under a concrete slab with the original stairs still intact. The enclosure forms the shape of a heart and is a fine site to see, but like many historic sites throughout our nation, requires funding to keep it accessible. It is our hope that we will be able to lend a helping hand in many restoration projects and support the Waukesha Preservation Society.
